KAPS Meetings and Events

Meetings are normally held on the third Thursday of every month, 6:30 PM at the Knoxville Cigar Company in the Old City.  However, depending upon speaker availability the dates are subject to change. Check here for updates to the schedule. 2008  Date  Day  Location  Agenda  Jan 17  Thursday  Knoxville Cigar Company The pipe club will host Nashville pipe maker Bruce A. Weaver at the January meeting. The meeting will be held at Knox Cigar in the Old City at 6:30 pm on January 17th. Bruce has been making pipes for a couple years now. He started his pipe making journey by attending one of Lee von Erck's pipe making classes at the Chicago Pipe Show. Shortly after he studied with Tim West and followed that with an extended visit with Lee. Bruce makes quality pipes that are very affordable. Plus he's a terrific guy. He's been making the rounds of the pipe shows displaying some fine pipes. John and Vicki have had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Bruce about his pipes at the Fort Wayne, IN, and Columbus Pipe Shows in 2007. The meeting will be held at Knox Cigar in the Old City at 6:30 pm. Mark left some rare and aged tins of tobacco and some nice new Buffalo skin pipe bags (with the Buffalo nickle) with Doc to sell at the meeting. The prices are right and the Bar is open at the Cigar Shop.  Mar 27  Thursday  Knoxville Cigar Company March meeting postponed -- until Thursday, March 27, 2008. The meeting will be held at Knox Cigar in the Old City at 6:30 pm. Its believed they will have several special events and prizes. We will meet at 11AM in the parking lot of Leaf and Ale on Kingston Pike and car pool to Nashville returning Saturday night. Doc needs to know an approximate number of people so he can arrange for transportation.  Oct 23  Thursday  Knoxville Cigar Company The October meeting of the Knoxville Pipe Club was moved to Thursday Oct. 23rd, 6:30 PM at the Knoxville Cigar company in the Old City.
